Congratulations! He/she will be beautiful, no doubt!
I bet you are very anxious, already.

Oh very! The vet said that she had some cysts so she's going to re-check her at 60 days. If the foal makes it to then odds are good it will make it to term.

I'm so excited! I'm already dreaming of all the championships this baby and I will win!

Congrats! I'm envious! I was supposed to have a mare in foal to BW this year, too, but the timing just wasn't right. *sigh* It WILL happen!

*crosses fingers for yours to work out*

Hi Mary. I am so glad she took on the first breeding since it was late in the season and hope she holds it, because I too am very excited for the foal!!

Also thought I would update you on Buckwheat's current accomplishments from being at the ABRA Congress this last week in Idaho. He cleaned house and won all kinds of stuff. We are very proud of the boy and how he just keeps improving with time...like a fine wine...LOL.

Accomplishments include:, Hi-Point Sr. Horse, Amateur All-Around, Res Grand Champion Halter Stallions, and First Place in the following; both Am and Open Western Pleasure, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Am Hunter Under Saddle, Sr. Horse Hunter Under Saddle, English Eq, Am and Open Trail, Am Reining, both Open and Am Barrels, Poles, Singles Stake and Keyhole, and second in open Reining and Am and Open aged stallions Halter, and 3rd in Dun Factor. So he won all kinds of stuff, ribbons, jackets, cups and glasses, and a SLEW of points which I am sure will qualify him for a few more ROM's!! So it was a great show to say the least, he was like a machine!
I will put pictures on the website as soon as I get them from the photographer!

I am looking forward to seeing those pictures Jess!! What a wonderful show week for you all and what a way to go out with a BANG for the season. Now all you have to do is get him going in Working or Reined Cow Horse, and ROPING! LOL!

To the OP, will keep crossables crossed that you have a BW baby standing in your pasture next year. She is a nice mare and this baby is going to be exceptional.

That's really cool...he's such a nice stud. It's great to see one who continues to show even though he has started his breeding career. Any ideas for names? Oh...and are you hoping for chrome??

Also everybody knows we need pictures in a breeding thread...I know...you just forgot..its OK I'm here to help:

Congrats to both Lexi AND BW! My goodness, pretty soon the ABRA won't let you show anymore...There's just no competition! Wish we could see him in at least a couple AQHA shows

This baby is going to be one HECK of an all around horse!
