Foaling Pictorial...

Well, as some of you know, Reg Corkum - Equine Photogrpaher, extraordinaire - is here visiting. We had an Escudo II colt out of our mare, Morticia (Mannhattan x Fabrege/Frohwind) during just about perfect conditions for both foaling and photography . We were fortunate in that Reg captured the entire event so we have put together a foaling sequence on the website. You can go here: http://www.equine-reproduction.com/a.../Foaling.shtml to see the pictorial!

Of course, in keeping with my foaling record, the foal "is" a colt. I have given up on ever having a filly again. At last count, I'm now up to 49 colts in the last several years. Absolutely no fillies. That's got to be some kind of record!

In any event, enjoy the pictorial!

I caught those the other day on COTH! They're great!

On the other hand you have a great new marketing plan. "Hoping for a colt? Boost your chances! Foal out at ER!"

Wow! Great pictures and thanks for the informative text. I know nothing about foaling but who knows - I might need to someday

Congratulations Kathy!
What a beautiful foal. (with a neat face marking to boot!)
Job well done to your mare, and thank you for chronicling this process in pictures. Best wishes with your new baby.

Excellent information, I keep my two ponies at a welsh stud yard and I'm always excited and constantly asking questions when babies are due, we've had two fillies born this year just another 1 to arrive hope its another filly
