fly spray and riding?

I really love the Absorbine DuraGard but i realized that i cant ride after using it b/c my saddle with slip right under her belly and my saddle NEVER moves. But i really loves this fly spray it works and makes the dirt brush off. any one got any great fly sprays that wont make them slippery?

Any fly spray will do this right after applying it...I use Ultrashield EX and on the back of the bottle it says don't apply to areas where saddle comes into contact with..

I put on flyspray everywhere when I first tie up my horse, and then after he's tacked up I re-apply wherever is advisable and it works for my boy.

I just don't spray the saddle part...
I just spray his whole tail... his neck, belly, bum, privates.... all the places he is most likleyy to sweat to attract flys!

Could you just fly spray him after you have him tacked up that way it won't matter?

I fly spray after I'm all tacked up. If they're really bad, I'll do their legs, belly [except for cinch area], eyes and ears first. Then once I'm tacked up, I spray them down with it.

When I first get them out I usually spray everywhere except the saddle and girth area. Then after I'm all groomed and tacked up I might give then another spray if the bugs are out in full force. I've never really had an issue with fly spray making a saddle slip, show sheen yes, fly spray not so much. But it might be a good idea to just tack up and then spray the fly spray.

I spray em after I'm all tacked up. No issues then!

Just don't put it where the saddles goes. Bugs wont be biting there anyways. Wait until after your ride to put bug spray on the saddle area.
