I use a concentrate called Repell X I think, not sure on spelling there. But it's farily cheap, and the size I get makes a gallon if you follow their set ratios. I've tried several brands of sprays that were supposed to last like 3-5 days, but none have worked, so I'd rather buy the cheaper stuff and apply it daily!

I used to use Repel-X like Paint_Luver but then I discovered Endure by Farnam. Omg...that stuff rocks. Its more expensive then the cheap fly sprays but it works for days most of the time. Its awesome stuff...I would highly recommend it!

![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm not sure if anyone suggested these yet, but I didn't want to check all the posts. I use Endure right now - and it is a little more expensive, but I think it works better than most other horse fly sprays. My friend used OFF! (human spray) on her horse, but it really only keeps mosquitos away. It did a terrible job keeping flies away, so I wouldn't even bother. But now my friend has been using something called CLAC - but I think it's called Deo - lotion now (orange bottle). You can get it either in a normal spray or concentrate. The horse was stomping really bad b/c of the flies and she sprayed it on and not one fly landed, plus it worked for a while. |

I too have found most sprays to be useless.Swat doesnt work that good now,the flies are really bad.So i started using Off Botanicals lotion. It works a lot better for the face and so far no allergic reactions. Have you found anything at all that helps repel horseflies? They are awful here,at night up to 6 at a time bite on one horse.
