I use a really nice one, the Rider's International one from Dover (http://www.doversaddlery.com/rider%9...-24611A/cn/66/) along with fly boots (can't find the site at the moment... ) and a fly mask (http://www.doversaddlery.com/cashel-...1-23127/cn/66/).

Bodie has a bigger-than-normal reaction to fly bites, so I keep him VERY covered! I've never had a problem with him getting too hot (and he sweats EASILY!), and I think it helps him a lot. He hasn't stomped his feet or shook his head or gotten a cup-sized bite since I started to dress him up in all of his stuff!

I've decided to get them one... Although I have one for Pablo but it's black :S

I 'tested' it out on Ali, and she was MUCH happier with the sheet on I'm just on the search for a yearling one now!

Gert is much happier with her sheet on. I had to spray MYSELF with flyspray yesterday..the bugs were so bad! Little itty bitty just hatched flies were everywhere and kept crawling on me.. blah ick ick! I nearly douced Gert with flyspray too and she was happier (after I took the sheet off, they were still bad)...

She tore a nice hole in it already.. *sigh* I can't let her out with the other horses with it on. Cochese thinks it's a toy (as he does with everything) and plays with it..

I don't.

It gets put on in the AM by the BO along with her flymask

and then I take it off before I leave in the PM. It's very very breathable and light. I've never seen sweat on her with it being on during the day. The thing I love about it is it protects against UV rays too..

I need to get a flymask with a removeable nose (going to get a Kensington one too--I LOVE and swear by their products).. her pink nose gets burnt. She gets sunlotion on in the AM too..

Yeah the Kensington blankets are sooo nice looking!! And good quality from the sounds of it. The fly masks are cute too, I've never used them before tho? don't they bug the horses or anything?

I need to sunscreen Pablo and Molly now that it's not freezing out. Pablo's nose is very pink as of today!

Gert LOVES her flymask. She throws a fit (a lot of head tossing to keep the flies away since she has a puny forelock) with all the flies around her eyes..

I want one for my pony, but during the winter he had a blanket on and it rubbed his shoulders raw. Plus, I don't get out enough anymore to check on him. My parents aren't very easily convinced that I have to go.
