Fleas off your dogs?

Ok honestly my mother and I are both dog groomers, and a home remedy to get the fleas off is to soak your dog in dawn soap for 5 or 10 minutes, just dawn NO water, this makes the fleas shells soft so when you rinse the soap off it drowns the flea, or you can go to your vet and get a capstar it is a pill that kills the fleas within a few hours of giving it to your dog, but that only kills the fleas that are on your dog at that time so I would also get frontline, or Advantage. I DO NOT recommend getting the new stuff the vets have it is called promeris and a friend of mine used it on her dogs and 2 got sick and the other one almost died, and the vet did not charge which tells you something is up right there. I use Revolution on my dogs. My Golden Retreiver has not had one flea on her in the 7 years we've had her.

when we lived in the valley my golden had flea allergies and I swore by advantage. Melissa

thanks! I'm going to get some advanage, I also watched her dog bed. I need to get some spray and bomb my house now! she didn't havethem untill she wento my mother in laws while we went on vaca! UGH!
