Yes, with the fishnet braid, it really depends on the horse. Try it and see how it looks with your horses neck. Another idea for a long mane is a french braid, it looks good on most horses, is easy to do and very neat looking.

Try them both out and see which you like best.

I use it opn Misty and I get compliments every time I do it. I've got it down to under 30 minutes

I love that braid...though I never knew what it was called I groomed my friend's horse for her senior pictures and put one of those in his mane. He was a gorgeous palamino with a nice long white mane...mid-summer so his color was GOLD. He looked great! Should see if my mare can stand still for it

i also do the fishnet, but depending on what i am doing i have done it with matching bands to my tack. red and black pad, red and black rubber bands. just alternate them. i looks great.
