My cousin still owns her, and she came by yesterday and said to ride her all we (I) want because she doesn't have a place to put her any more and will probably be keeping her in the pasture for the rest of her life, unless she decides to sell (In which case I am going to try to buy her with all I have because I want her)...(I'm already trying to buy her...but my cousin don't want to sell). Yes, I did consider that she wasn't mine, but my cousin has sad on numerous occassions to just think of Patch as mine because she pretty much is now... I don't think my cousin and her kids or husband are ever going to get on Patch again. Her husband got on her bareback and she bucked him off, and since then he hasn't messed with her... Sissy (my cousin) is pregnant, and don't like to be around the horses, and now she will probably not even attempt to get on or mess with Patch because Patch ran towards her the other day with her ears pinned. I don't think I'll have to worry about her kids either...Patch got spooked and tried to bolt the other day and Sissy's eldest girl was on her back (She was just sitting on her back in the saddle, I was holding onto the lead rope...I'd said that it wasn't a good idea, but they didn't listen). After Patch was calmed down, Sissy told her girl to get off of her and refused to let them do anything except pet her. I am going to find something else to call her... you know...as she is trained and changes, leave behind everything associated with the old girl that was labeled as crazy...get a new name for a new horse (in a sense).

For some reason, i could not see the pics, so I am going to ask a question^^ How long are her hooves? Are they over three inches? Are the heels atleast two inches long? If they are longer than three inches (Coronary band, down to the tip), then she needs to see a farrier. Perhaps a vet could swing by and sadate her for it, or you could use a lead shank and put it under her lip, but be careful with that one, it can hurt them if used improperly. She may get cracks down her hooves, and if they get too bad, it can do some major damage to her hooves (I'm a farrier btw^^). So please get her feet checked out. Btw, it seems like you are doing a wonderful job with her. Keep up the good work!

2" measured where for the heels? Even if you measure up to the back of the coronet band, that's an awfully tall heel. Awfully.
