I love, and I mean love Cowboy Magic for the mane and tail. eek i love it. I use mane and tail for just regular bathing at home just for fun. For shows I use this whiting shampoo (since my horse is a paint with lots of white), and def CBM for shows. and congrads on the bath!!! I love bathing horses.

I use Quic Color on my mares before shows so that their coat is more vibrant. But when I'm just bathing them because I feel like it, I use Orange Creme Extra Clean Shampoo. It smells sooo good

I get them both from the tack store, but you can order them online from State Line Tack, Jeffers Equine, or wherever. Orange Creme Shampoo is made by Oster and is part of their "Equine Care Series Shampoos and Conditioners," all of which smell pretty good . Quic Color is a color enhancing shampoo. It doesn't dye the coat or anything, it just makes the coat a little shinier and more radiant...something about the way the sun and shampoo react I think. Since I have two bay mares, quic color works best. But if you have say a grey or white horse, quic silver would be more effective, just as quic black would be most effective for a black horse.
