First Aid kit essentials

I am trying to come up with everything I should have in my horse's first aid kit. Here is the list so far... I would like it if you all could add to it or give your input. Also if anyone knows of any places I could order this stuff cheap it would be amazing!

Banamine
Triple Antibiotic Ointment
Gauze
Ace Bandage
Duct Tape
Adhesive Tape
Scissors
Knife
Tweezers
Rubbing Alcohol
Thermometer
Lubricant
Stethescope
Iodine
Silver Spray (wound spray)
Betadine
Epsom Salts
Gloves
Electrolytes
Poultice
Twitch
Diapers

I can't think of anything else.... feel free to add to it! Thanks everyone!

For reference, generally, iodine = betadine. Betadine is just a brand name.

Bute
Wound Dressings (sterilized gauze that won't stick to wounds)
Vetrap (or similar)
Swat/Tricare (or similar)
Saline (for rinsing out wounds)
Wound wash (Betadine scrub, novalsan, tea tree oil, etc.)
Wonderdust (or similar)

Sterile needles are always handy to have.

A healthy bank account for those nasty vet calls sometimes as well

To add to this...

If you trailer your horses, I HIGHLY recommend having a couple doses of tranquilizer with you in case of an emergency. I won't leave home without it.

I would add bandage scissors as well as regular scissors. A hemostat is also another type of scissor/clamp tool that can be handy.

I also keep a pocket knife or a multi-tool handy in all of my tack boxes, first aid kits, etc. I think it's my biggest "go to" item in my barn!

Oops! I see you have knife on your list already!
