Finding Colostrum. HELP!?!?!

I just got off the phone with the vet and she said that it really isn't good that my mare has been leaking milk. When the foal is born and is a day old they want to do blood work on it and see if it will need a plasma transfusion. I asked her about getting colostrum instead and she said they didn't have any and it would be hard finding any. I would rather get colostrum and feed it to the foal than do an expensive plasma transfusion but I don't know where to go to find it. Does anyone know? Im in Central California. Please help if you can.

I can't help locate colostrum but hope you can find some in time and save having to do the plasma transfusion.

Collect some of it and freeze it. Then you can thaw it out, warm it up, and give it to the baby so she gets her mom's colostrum.

There is no collecting from my mare. You can't safely do it, you can't even brush her belly right now with out a hoof flying at you

NO that stuff will not replace what a foal needs from its mother, you need to sedate your mare and collect about 3 60cc syringes full of her and freeze till foal is born and give to foal, how long has she been spraying milk? is it pure white and really spraying? Ive had them spray for up to 5 days and the foals IGG test high and healthy and no need for plasma. Nothing you can buy as a food suppliment will help, you need to collect the mare twitch her and sedate her if needed or get her into stocks.
