But do they have more than just the dorsal and wither marks? I will wait for the photos... Is there any chance that she is wild bay?

RMT, the OP said she is just now "fading" as she had been previously stalled most of her life.

Mary, I don't think she's wild bay. She has pretty obvious black points high up her legs.

I to have seen almost black liver chestnuts, but none that have definite black points.

Could be lighting, but I dont think so.

Oh I was not saying that I doubted the color on the mare... I am just saying that I never guess color from and inside photograph... Needs to be outside in natural light.

Another interesting point ... I had a mare that was very red bay like that one... Also had a very prominent dorsal stripe...
