Finally, pictures! Pictures of my cousin Tamara's mare and foal!

I wrote last week that my cousin, Tamara's mare foaled last Sunday at 8:20 pm. The mare had a little chestnut filly with three white socks and a big blaze.
I finally got the pictures up and thought you'd want to see.
Here is the mare (her name is Ginger). (If yall remember, last year I posted about my cousin getting Ginger, and posted a picture where Ginger was really skinny and didn't look like she was in very good health... she was a year and a half when my cousin got her from her old owners, and her old owners had already been riding her.
Here Ginger is now:

And here is the baby (whom has been named Sweet Pea... her nickname is Sweetie or 'Nameless'... as she went a week without a name so I dubbed her that and it stuck...lol). Isn't she cute???!!! She's only a day old in these pictures. It amazes me how much the foal loves people too... she adores being petted and scratched! lol.

And her is momma and daughter walking around. They look a lot alike...but Sweet Pea has three socks, like her sire.

Oh, just kinda as a 'before' picture, this is Ginger when she first became my cousins. I'd say that there's a BIG change in her now... you can tell just by the pictures (the difference in the horses coat and everything) that Tamara adores Ginger, and Ginger is now taken VERY well care of.
Here's a 'before' picture, taken when Tamara just got the mare. Isn't that a big difference!

Sorry, I have no pictures of the sire.

Eep! Sorry the pictures are so big! I didn't mean for them to be that big, and I don't know how to resize them or do thumbnails for them... so sorry!

Wait if they got her last year and she was only a year and a half old then, you mean she was bred at a little over a year old and just foaled out as a two year old?Thats really young!I'm surprised they didnt lose the mare!Who bred the mare?

Yes, they got her last year. I am rounding her age off to a year and a half, but she was a month or two older than that. They bought her already bred. No one knew that she had been bred, so it was a real surprise when she started gaining weight really fast.
From the way the foaling happened, I think she was bred probably just a few weeks before she was bought, possible just a few days beforehand. She just foaled last week, but she did go over on what we estimated by a few days.

Thank you. I'll be sure to tell it to my cousin! She is in love with the foal. Lol.

Now, Giner is around three, give or take a few months, I think... I may be a little wrong on her age, but she's not over three I know that.

WOW, there sure is a difference in Ginger! That filly is just adorable, I'm glad that the foaling went well with momma being so young!

Yep.
She did have a little trouble (I'm not really sure what kind of trouble, because I wasn't there at the time)... but as you can see, everything was fine.
