FINALLY got to the barn! *Pics!*

My mom finally took me to see Annie. I was uber happy.

I decided I was going to use my snaffle on her (I've been using a curb all summer, because of shows and stuff). She didn't listen very great..

First off, when I asked for a trot, she goes into a super fast, choppy, very uncomftorble trot. I tried to do what I did before to get her slowed down- I gathered her head, did some 'see-sawing' but pushed her under herself. Two weeks ago (when I last rode her) she was doing an amazing trot, now-Urg, so uncomfortable!

It's like she doesn't listen in the snaffle. I always rode her in it until this summer.

I was pretty discouraged with her at first-I was hoping she'd have her nice slow trot..Nope!!!

I had to post to her trot the whole time, otherwise the bouncing so much made my side hurt. Well, she'd be trotting so fast, she'd go into a canter. On the bright side-At first her lope was somewhat slow. (Finaly!) But then I couldn't get her to stop. And she'd keep going into a lope w/o me asking-She'd do that when I'd be posting.

So, Instead of trying to fight her-I let her lope around, and when she wanted to trot, I'd squeeze her and have her lope again.

I had fun after the being discouraged part. When she went into a lope, I started laughing and was enjoying riding her.
I'm going to try her in a snaffle again next time, and hope she's better. Do you think I should go back to the curb, or use a snaffle until next show season?

Here's the pics!-
(In all of them I think I was getting ready to rise in the post, so I look pretty odd)

After I got done riding. (around 8:30pm) I remembered that my blanket was in the back of the car. (the blanket that last winter didn't fit her)
Just for kicks I put it on her. It almost fit! Either she used to be extremly fat, or the blanket grew.

I have another question- My toes stick out away from her sides, how can I get them to go straight with her? (Does that make any sense..?)

Thanks for looking!!
