Exclamation Finally, good FIADOR knot instructions!

Being a sailors wife has it's perks. I was complaining about the fiador knot to my husband and he didn't know which one that was...I kind of tried to explain it and he goes "Oh! I think you mean a boatswain's whistle knot?" So I look it up and well there ya go!

Huh... that's different than the instructions that I have. I mean, you get the same knot in the end, of course, but you do it differently.

That one's a little bit different as it finishes with only one loop instead of two (for the lead to attach to).

Right, but you could use a 'double' line of rope

Interesting!! I'll have to mess with that. I haven't had a problem tying a fiador myself, but maybe this'll make it easier.
