Arrow Field boots vs dress boots?

In a show, what type of boot would you wear for jumping and equation?

I don't think it really matters much. I show dressage but have a pair of field boots. The only benefit the field boots have over the dress boots IMO is that they offer more flexibility in the ankle.

I know a lot of hunter riders who show in dress boots. I also know alot of riders who show in field boots. It really doesn't matter which one you pick- both look equally as good.

I belive that field boots are short and not really 'ellegant'. Dress boots are for dressage because they go longer up the leg like almost the knee, past the calf...ok i think im confusing you. Well the basic thing is field boots are short and dress boots are long. If I'm wrong then correct me.
