Question FANCY Show Hunters Anyone???

Hey, I see tons of pics of low level hunter riders on HGS, but I got thinking tonight,,,,,,,do any HGSers show the fancy hunters? Such as: A rated 4 feet hunters? Or maybe 3 feet and higher? I just love those pics of the horses done up all pretty and everything is just perfect about them.

I'm not a huge fan of hunters, but the upper levels are like other sports to me,,,,they may not be too exciting just messing around, but in the big times, that stuff is COOL to watch.

So, all you A rated Hunter Show people.....get on here and show me some pictures and tell me where you show, what level, etc!!!!!!!!!!!

I did a few A shows with my TB gelding quite a few years ago, the 3' Amateur Adult division. We got a few lower ribbons, but that was as high as JB was ever comfortable with for doing a whole course.

Sorry the picture is so dark

I haven't showed in any big A shows but I have jumped 4' before. But I don't have a scanner or even pics of it.

Wow JB...I don't think I've actually seen a pic of you riding. Very nice!

I just want to see the A rated upper classes because I do jumpers and well, you can see grand prix jumpers but still have ugly form. I admire the larger hunters because they jump HUGE fences while still looking perfect. Thats why I want to see some of our HGS people here

That's a really nice pic, JB! Maybe someone with Photoshop skills here can lighten it up for you?

I quickly lightened it so I could see it better on my PS, but its just not the best quality when lightened. However, JB if you're interested in it being better quality, let me know and I'll see what I can do when I have time. Unless your hard copy is good quality??

And Jump the Moon...THANKS! I hadn't looked at those photos cuz I'm too lazy to click links hahaha Those are awesome pics. Are those 3'6" fences?
Those are the kind of pics I'm looking for....its nice to see that HGSers do the big times (and I know there are big time jumpers and eventers on here,,,but hadn't seen any hunters).
Great job!

Thanks! They are 3'-3'3". The oxers can look bigger though! Horsie will hopefully move up to some of the 3'6" hunter stuff next year (if all goes well).

Thanks JB was my bud, I miss the old guy!

Yes, my originals are of good light quality, but for whatever reason I could never get it to scan in any lighter

So, Jump the Moon, my curiosity is getting the best of me
I show jumpers, but I'm sure your answers will be helpful in a sense.
Since you show the A level, I'm wondering how thats financed. Now, if you don't want to tell me anything, thats fine too But I know they can cost a lot so I'm always wondering how people are able to do the upper level shows all the time. Is it family money, your money, sponsorships, horse owners,,,etc?
As it is now, I can only afford a few shows a year and at that, they're B shows. I do not have a trainer, nor is it super feasible to haul to one all the time (I've had lessons every week for about 18 years til I moved out here). NE doesn't harbor a lot of jumper enthusiasts who would want to sponsor me eitehr.....great fun out here haha.

So any info or tips you have to share would be great! I don't have as many costs for the whole "uniform" part of it either....I own the horses, tack and equipment already too.

Thanks!
