Question Extra long English reins

Does anyone know where you can get any?

I don't know exactly how long my current ones are. I would guess 7', but whatever's standard.

I could use some that are another good foot in combined length if not a tad more.

Do you want them for schooling or for showing?

If you only want them for schooling you could try using split reins, they car pretty long

We've had this conversation before Dawn. I can order you some . Nice English leather in any style and size you want!!!

Have you checked Dover? Dressage Extensions might have some, they seem to carry a lot of WB sized tack.

We have?! Has it been awhile back? I remember asking but don't remember the answers I got!

It's mainly for schooling, but I prefer english reins to western reins. Like the feel of them better.

I've looked through dover and nothing jumped out at me. But haven't tried Dressage Extensions.

Yup, it was way back, like last February. I can order them for $45, nice English leather, laced, web, or plain. They would be a custom order, so it would take a bit. UNLESS, I order NOW. I have a shipment due to be shipped out after the first of the year, so I could have them as early as the 2nd week in January.

Dressage Extensions might have some though. Or you might try saddleshop.com

I looked on dressage extensions, and they don't have a length listed for the majority of their reins, so I'm assuming standard length.

I'm not ready to get any right now (broke from Christmas), but I'll probably be letting you know when I am ready!

I know I can't be the only one with a horse with a long neck. He's a paint, and only in the 15 hand range. So I know others have this problem!

I have the same problem. Misty has a short neck and she is 15hh. Some split reins are too short too! Now I fing myself nunching over to give her enough rein

Luv2ride, do you have pics of the reins. I would be interested in a pair of the web reins. Can you get them in black? Thanks Cindy

I am working out getting a reliable supplier of bridlework. I should have a full line next spring. Right now, my chap guy can make me custom orders whenever needed. He makes my browbands for me, they're very nice! So, you give me a picture of the style you like along with the length you want them, and I'll have them made for you!
