Ok, so my ex, simply put, is basically poor. His family is not very well off, good people though. Anyway, he is trying to go on a mission for our church, and he has been complaining to me alot lately about how he is frustrated with people an how everyone else has it so much better. Its understandable, but I've gotten to the point that I just plain old dont like talking to him. He somehow got the money to be able to afford a phone, so he has been texting me almost non-stop for atleast a month. I've finally gotten to the point I hate it when he texts me, but he complains even more when I dont text him back. Anyway, my parents are very generous people, and my dad said he had some yard work he could do for a couple of days. I havent talked to him much the last couple of days, but tonight he texts me and, its probably just me, but he is almost bragging about what he was doing today at my house. I'm at college 3 1/2 hours away, and I had a summer job in a different state, so I missed out on doing all the hay bailing and stuff like that at my house. Anyway, so he texts me an is all, I had way too much fun on your tractor today. Its still in one piece though. And a couple weeks ago my dog disapeared for a couple days and they finally found her in one of our window wells. So after the tractor comment he says did you hear what happened to Fudge a little while ago? I asked him if something else had happened since they found her, and he says no I was talking about them not being able to find her. (Hm, is that not what I was just asking about?) So I asked if something new had happened to her, an he was acting like it was new news and told me the whole story about her bein gone and them finding her. I try hard to be polite, but I wanted to say something like, no really? I had no idea, its not like she is MY dog or anything and my parents would let me know if anything happened to her. Sorry, I juste needed to vent about this because it feels kind of like he is bragging about doing my jobs at the house because I've been gone to school and work. I am jealous, I'll be the first to admit it, but admitting that isnt really helping me much. If you read all that you deserve a big tasty cookie.

Block him, there should be a feature on your phone somewhere. And remember, there is a reason he is called your "ex." Just ignore him. If your luck runs like mine, your folks will start calling him son and invite him to family gatherings.

MelJean has good advice, but if you are not ready to block him, beat him... (although with a big stick might feel better, try his game) When he brags about the jobs, sigh and say "better you than me, make sure you get it all done before I come home for the holidays, I don't want to work my whole vacation." (he doesn't need know you are jealous) and any other "fun" stuff he is doing, interrupt with your "fun college antics" All the new people and the hot mature older guys in your gym class you are meeting. Embellish a little its okay, you know he was...
