Exercise saddle are really meant to be sat down on. They are made with the intension of being out of the saddle, there is no real support and no real padding for jumping, so when you put your butt back in the saddle you are basiclly landing on a piece of leather or suede! I wouldn't recomend that type be used for anything but a good gallop out!
