| WOW! You guys are GREAT for still thinking of us. We are really no further then before. Shay is still having episodes, I am running out of options. It has been suggested to me to put him down but I just don't feel that is the right thing. Most of the time - he is a happy horse and you would NEVER know by looking at him that anything was wrong and ofcourse from all the tests we have done, he is an extremely healthy horse except for this nerve problem. SO, then what, well, I had chiro out again but does not seem to be effective. I am still working with Auburn - we are at our last option on the list with them and that is to try one of these drugs - Cyproheptadine or Gabapentin. I have decided to try the Gaba. Pray for me that this works!
I had upsetting news yesterday - my board rent is going up in September. I had already put a deadline on myself for August - that if Shay wasn't well, I would have to consider giving him up. If I had my own place - I would retire him and we would all be happy. Now that board is going up, that really nails my August deadline. I REALLY hope it does not get to this - I want to keep him SO BAD. He is a beautiful, sweet horse - it will break my heart and I have NO IDEA how to go about finding someone who would take him.
