Yes, when I think back and had first brought Shay in with this problem, he was limping, I thought Abcess and tried to soak his foot - he would not STAND it (he was no problem before), and then he went into his first episode. So he has had a problem with water from the get-go.

I can't take credit for that site. It was jenelle12. I hope the vets can figure out what is going on and they can fix him.

Hope Jana doesn't mind me jumping in here but I knew a lot of you were concerned...

Went out to lunch on Tuesday and Shay is still up at Auburn. No big news yet but they are planning a few more tests, though I'll let Jana give you the details on that. Keep the good thoughts coming...

p.s. Jana, thanks for the delicious lunch!!

Hello all,
Just got back from Auburn - I ended up staying longer so I could spend time with Shay Mon - Wed. I got him out and let him graze and brushed him good! He is SUCH A SWEETIE!
Monday Neorologist came by scratching his head - told us not to bother with EMG test - that it wouldn't tell us anything.
Tuesday vet decided to take 5 viles of blood and do tests on "normal" equine diseases to see if maybe he is just having weird symptoms to one of those. Oh boy! Can't remember all 5 but I know EPM, W. Niles & Herpes were some of them.
Had lunch with Laura, dailyntly - a forum friend! YEAH! She let me talk and shared horse stories! It was a nice break.
Tuesday night got test result for EPM - was positive BUT doc says that only means he has been exposed to it, the only way to know for sure is to test his spinal fluid, SO Thursday he will get spinal fluid while Shay is drugged for the SNAP test (I believe this test is to measure electical impulse of nerves?) - doc wants nerologist back out again and for him to see an episode.
So after Thursday - nothing left. Should have all test results back by Friday. Plans right now are to bring Shay home on Saturday. I am trying to take one day at a time but if we have no answers by Saturday, I don't know what I am going to do!
