Equiroyal and Silver Fox Saddles??? HELP!!!

My mother and I are in the market for a DRESSAGE saddle under $200 and on Horse Loverz they have the Equiroyal (http://www.horseloverz.com/EquiRoyal...pr-301294.html) and Silver Fox (http://www.horseloverz.com/Silver-Fo...pr-148805.html) brands within my price range. This saddle will only be used a maximum of 1-2x per week so longevity is not what we're most concerned with. I am more concerned with tree quality. I am a western gal through and through, I can spot a cheap western saddle from a mile away, but when it comes to english riding, I'm lost. To give you an idea of just how often I ride, I have a Kates (I know, it's probably a cheapy) all purpose saddle with hardly 60 rides in it and I've had it for nearly 10 years. My mother and I are going to be starting up ODS (Oregon Dressage Society) and are just wanting a saddle to put us in the correct frame. Both of us suffer MISERABLY from chair seats, so hopefully a proper saddle will get us there.

ALSO!!! If any of you have a decent USED dressage saddle for sale for under $200 (prefer shipping to be included in price!!!) please let me know! My mother is in the process of selling one of her western saddles and we hope to have the money for a dressage saddle within the next couple months. Please understand that my mother moves at a slugs pace since she is a graveyard shift nurse.

My Wife has two students that have those Saddles, they got lucky and actually got ones that the trees were not warped. If all you do is walk and trot you might be OK, but I do not think those brands can take much more, I have heard of several people that have broken the trees by landing on the seat too hard.

Surely someone out there has a good used saddle in the 200.00 range, I would try the used avenue.

I had a Silver Fox saddle and the leather is not flexible at all! and it did not fit my horse ether but I sat it on a saddle rack and I sat on it and it was not comfy. but I had a AP saddle so the Dressage saddle my be different! So I took the saddle to the Tack shop and they traded me for a EquiRoyal saddle and I love it!! I think it's supper comfy and the leather ( I think) is really nice and flexible! I jump in my EquiRoyal saddle. and the saddle is really light! I love my ERoyal saddle but I have only been riding English for a year now so I've only been in contact with them 2 saddles!! but I hope that helps!!

Both are Asian made ****. You're better off going used, and sticking with a good brand, or a quality synthetic used (wintec, thorowgood).

Neither of those brands are particularly good, not sure about the trees specifically.

    NO NO NO NO
I have had the misfortune of owning 2 of these horrid saddles.
I thought all was well but the tree in the Equiroyal saddle was so warped that I had to call out the chiro after using it for a couple rides.

I would check out these websites.

So I just found the website for Kate's Saddlery. They are geared more towards australian saddles, but mine was bought during a short time that they sold english. Can anyone tell me about the Kate's brand? Will I get much for it with minimal use and scuffing???

I bought a used Passier for $200 last year. Look around, you'll find something used and much better quality.

The Kate's English saddles are absoloutley no better than the brands in your OP. Could you ride bareback for now? I rode bareback all summer and it wasn't bad. I actually prefer longer stirrups now. But now I have enough money to afford a nice used saddle on ebay as long as I can find one that will fit.
