How much do you think it would cost to put one in? And then how much would you charge? Or if you have a special pool (built for a polar bear) what could you do with it? It looks similar to a regular pool, but with no lining. Could you convert that pool to an animal therapy pool? - Or what could you do with that pool otherwise....???

LOL, well we bought this house that used to be like a private zoo!! They had a polar bear (that had it's own pool)!! And now the polar bear is gone and we have the pool. LOL So I have NO clue what we can do with it!

I would think that they would be quiet expensive to put in, or even to convert to one...just filtration system that you would need to handle the job would have to be a heavy duty one and I bet would cost a arm & a leg! I would contact someone who builds them to get an "ball park estimate" of costs: R.A.Wheeler Construction ~ Equine Pools

LOL NEW IDEA: Maybe put in an underwater treadmill (depending how deep the water is) like these ones: Ferno AquaPacer Equine Underwater Treadmill for Horses if it wasn't too, too expensive.........

| Senior Member+ | It would probably be very expensive to put in - but if you don't have one in your area and there are lots of semi-rich horse people in the area, you may get some good and regular business... I don't think you'd break even for a very long time (money-wise) though...

You TOTALLY should have answered this for the "what are you doing with a polar bear pool?" question... "Uhm...didn't you know? In Canada, Polar Bears are actually very common pet's -- they're so well suited for our climate." LOL! Yeah ok. I know no one thinks that, but you could have had a little fun... Anyways, that being said -- I can't say I'm an expert on equine pools, LOL! So anyways, good luck :P

Is the pool indoor? If not you might want to forget about it, the cost of converting and the cost of enclosing it are going to be steep, if you don't have it indoor you'll have a pool you can only use on warm sunny days!

but i mean, everyones different. i usually use my empty polar bear pools to eat meatballs in. call a place that converts/installs therapy pools or underwater treadmills and have them give you a quote.
