eq/baby green jumping critique *FIXED non-facebook video*

This is from our last show.
The horse is my 7yro, 17h, VERY green Tomorrow's Cat gelding.

It was the end of the day, and my poor boy was getting really tired. I also had lost my spurs which he needs at the moment, especially when he is tired b/c he completely ignores my leg. I know we completely choked through most of this course. When the fences are this small, he doesn't respect them, that combined with his lack of awakeness ... it was just not good. Not to mention, I was FAR from on the ball that day.

How is my eq? I havent really been focusing on that lately at all, but Id like to have anything majorly wrong pointed out. Again these fences are itty bitty, so its kinda hard as I find bigger fences much easier, specifically on my horse.

Also, any thoughts on Tommy?
His right lead SUCKED at this point. He will go through phases where he just doenst want to pick it up. It isnt a pain issue, we have looked into it. He just relentlessly tries to test me to see how hard im willing to fight. it lasts about a week, and then he goes back to normal. It happens every so often, the only way I can get it is to crank his head to the ouside, and literally throw him onto his inside shoulder with me outside leg/seat. we aer still building up his hind end, so changes arent quite there .. Id say we get them 70% of the time.

So what do you guys think? if you didnt know the circumstances what would you say?
I know its not the best video, but I have the worst time getting photos/video b/c I am normally the one taking them.

EDITED TO ADD ... there is a gun range next door here so there are shot guns going off in the background. you may want to turn down/off your sound

I'd say you did pretty well considering the circumstances. And was someone shooting in the background?? I found it very distracting to watch, much less ride to.

thanks .. he has come SOOOOOOOOOOOO far. He can be quite the handful, literally. not many will get on him. He just needs miles, but he takes me for quite the ride to get them If we make it through a class without an explosion, Im happy .... we made it through the whole DAY here!

but if you werent aware of the circumstances , what would you say about our ride?

and yes next door is a gun range surprisingly enough, that is the one thing that doesnt bother him! I hate showing there due to that and the footing in the indoor (where I usually ride as it is where baby greens is held) sorry, I dont have sound on my computer here, so I totally forgot that was in it!

Well, I am certainly no expert since I really haven't jumped in 16 years. However, if I was unaware of the circumstances regarding your ride, there are a couple of things that I noticed. I see what you're saying about his leads and the way you turn him out to get him to pick it up. It almost looks like you not riding in a straight line in approaching the jump. You have a nice, steady leg that I'm envious of. It seems like you're ahead of him in a couple places but that's really all that my uneducated eye can see.

How'd you do, BTW?

Thanks so much for your critique. All I can say for my leg is to take away your stirrups. I mean off the saddle completely. I would ride like that for an extended period of time. Weeks sometimes. That and I ride every day 7 days a week, and multiple horses a few days a week. It really helps with your leg.

We did ok in my book. It wasn't our division which is baby greens, it was an equitation hunter challenge, we only did it so we could see what he would do outside as our other class was indoors. I like to get him in every ring possible without tiring for miles. I normally only do 2 divisions on him tops, but there was nothing really fitting for him outside so this was the cheapest "throw away" option.

Sorry, but that's the only place I have it as I don't have the file. My friend uploaded it for me.
