Unhappy enough is ENOUGH!

OMG!!!!

2007 SUCKS!

Let's recap......

Jan 3rd my mom fell down the stairs severely injuring her back, was out of work for like 4 1/2 months...
She had to sell her car because she couldn't make the payments due to lack of income....
While we were gone some idiot ran his car into our garage, completely destroying it.
My very old car died had to buy a new one....
Also, due to not working for so many months my mom fell behind on her mortgage and was facing foreclosure.

OKay...so basically the past 9 months have already been horrid...
Last night as my mom was driving home from work at 11pm she was rear ended by a drunk driver. My mom was on a very quite road in the right lane going about 40mph (speed limit is 45)
The very young girl hit her car at speeds enough to completely crush the rear end of my moms car.
The girl was completely intoxicated when she got out of the car, my mom asked if she had a cell phone, (my mom doesnt have one) the girl said yes, but when my mom asked her to call the cops she bailed out of there, leaving my mom on the side of the road at 11:30 at night.
So thankfully my mom was OK, she didn't sustain any "serious" injuries. A taxi cab driver was nice enough to pull over and call the cops, as well as stay with her until the came, and then brought her home.
At this point I'm home ******** out! I jumped into my car to go out looking for her because I knew something had happened. Our paths crossed in the neighborhood and luckily everything was OK.
But this just ******** sucks!
My mom can't afford to buy a new car, this one was basically given to her by a relative when she sold her old one. Also, the car is too old for full coverage, so insurance isnt going to pay to repair it. Since the girl speed off and my mom didn't get a lic# we have nothing.
I'm just so sick of this! I can't take anymore. My mom is to meet with the lawyer this week to file for bankruptcy, which will cost $$$.

I know things could be worse, I'm so greatful she is OK and that nothing serious happened. But I need a break from this....I feel like everytime I think we're in the clear something stupid happens.

Aaawww I feel for you, I had a year like this, and this year hasnt been the greatest sometimes, I hope that u and your mom can start on a new path and do fine. I wish you the bets of luck, I'm sorry Im not sure exactly what to say. I mean I had a year where my dad was off the entire time, because he had a heartattack and just about died a couple times that year. Never mind me being behind in work because I had to take much time off, I missed like 60 days of school, I would go for like half days. I mean money was short, bills needed to be payed mom didnt have a job, so thankfully my dads work paid for alot of it!! I mean my familys recovered in away so I hope that the same will for yours!

I hope the cops can find the girl who left the scene of the accident. Not only was there a criminal offence of driving intoxicated but leaving the scene of the accident is just as criminal. I really hope things improve.

Teenager stupid enough to leave the scene of the accident...something tells me you might be hearing from her again. How obnoxious...I hate young drivers. I hate drivers in general.

Hope things start looking up for you guys...sounds awful right now. **hugs**

If your mom knows what kind of car it was and what the girl looked like. They could find her car and then they could find her.
