I had and older model that looked very similar to the one you posted, I love them!! I had mine for close to 10 years and it was in excellent condition (and I rode in it alot!)
I sold it, and have regreted it ever since. The only thing I found was it tended to push me forward a little, but knowing that I just sat back a little more.

I have a western wintec and it has held up wonderfully, I see no reason why the english one wouldn't as well..

And personally I find them very comfortable, not to mention light (i guess all english saddles are fairly light though :P). I'd go for it really, that's a great price, heck if you watned it for re-sale I may even consider it :P

I used to have a wintec when I had my pony..I loved it! Mine was an older style..I like those a lot more then the newer ones. But they're super good if you don't have much $$ to spend..they are built properly and are so low maintnance (sp?). Far better to get a wintec then a different saddle for $200.

I dont like them very much. I dont find them comfortable and they dont last.

However on the plus side they are inexpensive and lightweight - also easy to clean.

I would check e-bay before spending $200 tho - I am sure you would pick up a really cheap nearly new (or new) one there

I'm not a fan of Wintecs, but yeah they're super light! I don't really like the way the stirrups adjust, but maybe it's because I'm used to regular leather stirrup leathers.

I have a Wintec (non suede) that looks like leather that I love. Its very comfy and I dont have any problem with wear and tear at all.

Mine has the CAIR panels and gullet system and I looove that.

I'd go for it if you aren't showing seriously in it and just want something to piddle with. Suede reallys sticks your butt! haha

Oh, I LOVE my new Wintec Isabell Dressage saddle!!!!

It has the CAIR panels, and they make a HUGE difference in comfort. I was riding in my friends saddle the other day (expensive leather dressage saddle, but forgot which brand...) and man, was it "hard" and uncomfortable!!!

The Isabell also fits wonderfully, no dry spots and the horse is going much better since I got the saddle with the CAIR panels.

Also, lots of people have Wintecs (english) at my barn, some of them are very old...but I have not noticed any of them falling apart...actually everyone recommended Wintec to me, since theirs have held up so well, fit many horses and are soooo comfortable.

I see no reason to go to a more expensive leather saddle, I'm absolutely happy with my Wintec...
