English saddle sizing?? Help!

If I ride in a 16 in Western saddle what size in an English saddle do you think I would be?? 16in also?thanx

you should be able to sit in an English saddle and put a hands width behind your rear end. I would guess about a 17" or 17.5". How tall are you, and what do you weigh?

I wouldn't think you would go as high as an 18", but everyone's body shape is different....do you have a local tack store that you can go and sit in different sized saddles? Or maybe try a friends saddle? Just an idea before you spend the $$ - Good Luck.

No Way...not an 18in! I'm 5'5 and 130 pounds and I ride in a 17.5 which is a bit big for me, a 17 inch fits me well.
