This saddle might work for you. if you only ride in it like 3 times. I bought one of these and three days later it was already starting to fall apart. So I bought a miller's lancer it was only like $50 more, and I just sold it a few years later still in great condition.
I know some people said that their starter saddle package was like this and it worked for them, but just think there are probably 50 different makers of these and if only one and fifty are a semi decent quality that will last you a few months to a year those are very good odds. so if you decide to buy one, be very careful.

well i personally liked it. I jumped my horse EVERY DAY 2 and a half feet and the saddle stayed in perfect condition. fit her well and everything. the only thing I didnt like was the bridle so I just went and bought another one. The ONLY reason I sold the saddle was to get my other horse(would have never sold it if I didnt need the money) so I would get it. I mean you could always save your money(as you stated) to get a nicer one. you could just sell that one or keep it as a saddle to "play" in.

OK, I looked on tacktrader.com and found a few saddles. What do you think of these?

I'm not impressed with either. Don't pay more than $100 for a used no-name saddle- that would be my recommendation. Both of those are asking nearly the same amount of $$ for the exact same thing you originally linked- but at almost no savings.

What was wrong with the ones I linked? There were a couple that looked okay and were really cheap.

What about this one? Is Team S a good brand? I've never heard of it, but then I'm not really an english rider, lol.

My saddle is just an old cheapo I got brand new off ebay. Cost me $120, I absolutely LOVE it!!! Its soooo comfy and I've had it for a year now and it is basically still in the same condition. I have jumped, showed, gamed, trailed, mustered etc in that saddle basically everyday since I bought it and it shows no sign of wear or tear. I love it so much I almost bought the exact smae saddle again off ebay but then realised... hey, Ive already got that saddle and its still in great condition why spend another $100 when I dont need to :P
