English Saddle for a gaited horse....measuring??

I hope the subject was explanatory enough.

I am considering getting an all purpose english saddle for my TWH mares. I know that for western saddles, you have to do all sorts of measuring for shoulder placement and wither position and such.....my question is, do you have to do measuring like that for an english saddle, too, or is just the seat size the main thing???

I don't know much about English, but rode English when my horse was at the trainer in February, and I think it's nice to train in that sometimes. anyway, thanks in advance for your time!
