This really stinks. I can't find a saddle that fits her properly! If anyone is looking for a Wintec, this one is for sale.

Wintecs just don't always fit wide horses very well. I would try looking for a quality used leather saddle. Stubben in a size 31.5-32 tree seems to fit most moderately wide horses well. Mine has fit almost all the big boys and girls I put it on, even my friend's percheron mare! Who is arguably "narrow" for a percheron, but she's still quite a stout lady.

The thing is that she's not wide. I am looking into a Stubben though, I heard they are quite wonderful.

I don't understand why you are jumping to buying a new saddle?? Why not go out spend $20-$25 and get a wider gullet to try in that saddle? Then re-take the photos and see if that helps. If it doesn't work you can return the gullet and try a new saddle.

The changeable gullet system leaves you with more options for the saddle to fit - doesn't mean it will fit, but at least you have some options to try!

It's definately much too narrow as is. The positioning appears to be pretty decent in the first photos. (Though hard to say for sure since it is perched up in front.)

I'm not jumping to get a new saddle. I've been wanting to sell the Wintec for some time now. I'm more of the western rider so if I sell this Wintec I'd have some extra money to buy a nice show saddle. There is two more english saddles at the barn that I could try again on her but they are all medium/narrow trees.

Which english saddles in general run wide/r? No Wintecs nor any synthetic saddles.

Look for older Stubbens in 30.5-32 cm trees. Passiers even in their Medium tree will fit a wide variety of horses. Older Crosby and Collegiate saddles in "wide" trees are nice too.

Thanks for the tip, luvs2ride79. I'll be keeping an eye on those once I sell this one.
