English Riders- post or sit?

For english riders, when casually trotting outside of a lesson, do you prefer to sit the trot or post?

Depends on the horse/pony I'm riding- If its Jack, I am always posting, as trying to sit his trot rattles my teeth, on pony, Doc, or mare, will sit the trot for a spell, post if speed/time increases....

I said post, but that is because it is a habit from riding Kristay's choppy trot. Scout has a smooth one so I find myself sitting more and more.

I can't believe I'm the only one who prefers to sit it!

I prefet to sit, just because I can "feel" the horse better and rate them easier. But if it's one of those bone-jarring ponies...uh....I'll sit it as long as I can, to try and see if the horse can be working into a pace that lets them smooth out, if not, I'll give up and post.
