Energy Booster

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a paste energy booster, that you would give like a couple of hours before you perform. I have county fair in 3 weeks and state in 4 and in jumping classes my horse is sluggish. My trainer reccomended putting him in a stall and perhaps an energy booster. Anyway if anyone uses them and recommend a brand.

I found one on ValleyVet called Lactinex. Anyone used it?

I've used 2 in the past. One is Amp Fuel paste, the other I'll have to check when I get home.

How many classes are you talking about? If it's a normal type of division, if the horse has issues with energy with that, he's simply not conditioned enough. By giving him something to "boost" his energy, he may find himself mentally able to out-perform his body, and cause problems.

Very well said! What type of feeding program is this horse on- either the horse isn't physically conditioned enough, or he's not getting enough energy from what's being fed.
