Cool Emmie VS. Frankenstein *pic*

Uhhhhhggggghhhhh

Anybody have a spare jar of patience lying around? I could use a swig or two.

Our barn was built by the previous owner whose horses were half BEAVER? There are parts of the barn that are so badly chewed that they are barely standing. If you push firmly on parts of the walls they just flex and threaten to crack. Great for shelter, bad for confinement.

SO. Ember has found her inner linebacker. She discovered that the door on her stall just takes one good shove and the screws pop right out of the latch assembly and ta daa! We are free. She literally thinks it is a push open door. No clue that it is supposed to be closed.

We just replaced the latch screws with 3 inch lag bolts. I had put Ember in her stall to have a "you can be stalled alone and not die" lesson. The neighbor kids just so happened to decide to light off about 20 firecrackers! RIGHT THEN!

POP!! POP! POP!! POP! POP!!

Ember went bonkers..."AHG! I'm alone! AGH!! I am in a stall alone!!!!" Spinning and bucking and squealing. One whack at the door and I was standing right there and I heard it crack and begin to fail. Oh no...

Aaron was out working and I shouted "HEY! Get Frankenstein over here right now!!"

Crack that, Emmie-Saurus!

Now we have to build a new door and install some super latches.

Babies. Ugh.

LOL! That picture is too funny.
Too bad about the door and stuff though! Ugh, babies!
My little girl has gone through a few doors too, trust me.

Frankenstein is parked there...holding the door. Azar already came over to see if there was anything to eat in Frankensteins bucket.

Welcome to the wonderful world of young horse ownership! You will have many more items broken, ruined, chewed upon and other wise destroyed.

Marshalltown, Iowa, it is against the law for a horse to eat a fire hydrant.

Well, it lasts about 5 or 6 years unfortunatly. Catalina is VERY distructive. No fence or gait is safe. But when she gets out she does not do too much damage. We try and make sure the electric fence is ALWAYS on.
