Emergency Travel Kit

If you had to make up an emergency travel kit completely on your own what would you pack? Its purpose is to treat the horse before it could be seen by a vet or returned to its home barn for long-term care. Remeber it has to be easy to take with you to lessons, shows, clinics, etc. Why did you pick the things you did?

First aid kit for horses should be similar to a human first aid kit.

Gauze pads
Gauze wrap
CoFlex/VetWrap (in multiple sizes)
Neosporin
Wound dust (excellent for quick cauterization)
Furazone spray
Furazone cream/corona
Scissors
Skin Tape
Duct tape
Plastic grocery bag
Eazy Boot if you can get one
Extra Halter and lead rope
Long cotton rope (for tying legs up)
Iodine/betadine
Sugar
Water
Horse Owners Veterinarian Handbook
Emergency Veterinarian Phone Numbers

And I'm forgetting a few things

I'm going to add disposable diapers or feminine pads for pressure on a heavy bleed. Put the diaper over the wound, wrap with vet wrap and viola! a pressure bandage for the way to the vet. I have used this before and it worked wonders!! Plus super absorbent
