Arrow Ember's first trailer ride, and trailer incident *pics*

My mother in law arrived Friday afternoon and she brought her two horses Coal (the black) and Gus (the bay). Tiffany and Coal are the two bossiest horses and they decided to outright attack eachother, each one landed two hind hoof kicks, and now they are best friends.

She was kind enough to offer a trip to the vet, since her big trailer was hooked up and ready to go. My ponies needed their yearly vaccines, coggins and health certs to get ready for our move. Ember also needed her stuff done to get ready for her trip to MIL's house.

She was FANTASTIC!!! We practiced the day before just looking in the trailer and trying to go in to see what she'd do before we had to go. She loaded herself right in, two times.

The big day, she walked right in like she'd done it her whole life. That's my girl!

On the way to the vet, which is 2 miles away...my MIL slipped off the driveway and into the ditch. She got the bottom of the trailer caught.

We had to call 911 to get the police to come direct traffic. We were blocking both lanes and were stuck. The horses were tilted in the trailer and behaved perfectly.

Then THIS arrived!!

He picked UP the back of the trailer. PICKED IT UP! He gently held us up and pushed while we drove out. We were actually stuck, rescued and on our way in 30 minutes. We got to our vet appt. 15 minutes late and everyone got their shots.

There's my update for the last couple of days. I need a nap!

But I'm glad she loaded like a little angel!! What a good girl!!

ETA: Now the pics come up for me.. yaaay! She looks like such a good girl in there! "Whooaaa where we goin'?! Whas this?" Hehehe.. Glad everyone was okay in the trailer! That looks scary! I've never hauled one that big before, although I did trailer a HUGE trailer this weekend.. that is a nice rig though

I can't believe Ems will be leaving soon!

Oh goodness...so glad that the horses handled the accident well, and that there was no injury to any of them! Good pre training and quick thinking saved the day!

So this means Ember will be heading home with MIL soon?

OK, fixed the pics.

So glad everyone was a good pony. Emmie was good, she kept hooking her neck over the divider and holding onto Azar's mane/neck. She loves him.

She'll probably be going to MI with the MIL in the next couple of days...I am spending lots of time with her and taking a ton of pictures.
