Red face embarrassed

Well I got to take my 9month prego mare to her last show till she foals! Our first time doing Novice D dressage test, which I think is techniquly higher than training level 3 and 4 but lower than first level. Any ways we got 63.5%, which was good, sence that was the first time i've cantered her in a long time. She got 8's on gaits and impulsion, well here what you all proubley want to hear, why i was embarised......
After the test the judge gives her coments, and she said that on one of my crosses across the diaginal that it was the best one she saw all day ( i was one of the last rides in the day too.), then she said untill you got to the corner, and you cut it short, then i explanded to her it is harder with a very prego mare.........she said she under stood that at the trot..... but at the walk, she should be able to do that... , I almost died.... man did I feel dumb. And one comment she said to me was that my horse seems like a very willing horse, and she'd proubley go deep in the corners if i just ask..... which saddly is true....
But on a good note, i think Princess (my mare) got the highest score on her submission ever of an 7, and the comment with it was "could stay rounder in frame", other than me messing up, we need to work on our right lead canter, however thats also when my hip tried to pop out so that also might be my fault ....... so hopefully i should get pics soon, but i had to share with you all my stupidity..... it was great

sounds like you had fun and learned a little at the same time too. i like it when the judges give you tips at the end of your ride. my friend is a judge and she judges my other friend's schooling shows. jen helps us out a lot after she has judged the class. she told me once that i would have won my hunter under saddle seat if i would have had my stirrups a little more and would have had the right bridle on the horse. well good luck at your next show.

I wouldn't be embarassed about that at all! Dressage tests (well, all showing actually) is a learning experience. It sounds like overall you did good. Be proud of that and practice the weaker points for next time!

Don't be embarrassed. Without feedback you'll never know how to improve I'm surprised that you're allowed to ride your mare so far into her pregnancy. Here in Australia after about 6-7 months you're pretty much disqualified if the judges found out of course.

Here in 4H you're not allowed to so a pregnant mare at all undersaddle. But in Opens it doesnt matter much around here.
