Effingham Dress Boots Bond Boot Co.

OK, I have a pair of size 8 slim calf Effingham Dress boots. They are in awesome shape and I need to sell them.
I've looked around a LITTLE bit and am noticing they're pretty pricey.

Can someone tell me more about this brand of boot and what you think they'd be worth??? Apparently Bond Boot Co. is out of business, so I spose they'd be considered rare. I saw them anywhere from $100 to $400.

So yeah, what are they worth?! Haha
And if anyone wants them...make an offer.

Thanks!!!

Try posting an ad on COTH. I've read tons of threads about them there....and even though it might cost you to post, you're likely to get a high price there!

I just bought a pair on eBay for $110. They are in great shape, have zippers, and I think I got a bargain (though I haven't received them yet, so I can't say for sure). I'd ask maybe $150-175.

Thanks AQHA thats really helpful actually. These are NICE boots...I slipped one on but couldn't move my calves HAHA cuz I wear wides or fulls......

these are sposed to be slims, but I think they're more regular sized...dunno! But I think I'm gonna put them on ebay pretty soon to get rid of them.

Abberblaze...I may look into COTH as well, but ebay is my first option, THANKS!

Kelli,
Effingham was a fine boot maker!

Some listings..

Manufacturer: Effingham
Model: Tall Boots
Category: English Show Apparel

Purchase: Purchased in summer of 1999 while I was working at Libertyville Tack shop in IL. Bought with my workers discount, but they were still nearly $300.

Likes: I love these boots. I am shorter, with a wide calf, but a smaller foot, and boots off the rack are VERY hard to find. These were a bit loose in the ankle when purchased, and now fit great. The leather is holding up very, very well after nearly seven years. I am kind to them, and rarely wear them outside of showing, but even that puts a good deal of wear. The leather is soft, but still holds it's shape. Great grip on the sole... after nearly 7 years, the tread is still there.
These are a slightly used pair of Effingham field boots.

Ladies size 9.5 with a medium width calf and medium height. They have only been used a hand full of times, no blemishes, scratches or tears. The soles are also in good condition. They are a great "middle of the road" boot that are comfortable to ride in. Lether is soft and already broken in. I bought them for $330 a year ago and have only used them in two horse shows. Foot measure 11 1/2 inches, calf at the widest point measures 16 inches, from heel to highest point on outside of boot measures 20 1/2 inches.
Only reason for selling is that I upgraded to a pair of Vogels.
That should give you a reasonable idea of the caliber of boot and some prices.

Good Luck,
Paula
