I dont care what my horses look like at home. That is the reason our show horses are so sane that I get asked if they are drugged. They pretend to be pigs wallowing in the mud.

2 days before a show they get pulled in and cleaned up.

Last week I entirely did Dizzies body in makeup as he had turned pink overnight. Since we were already there and paid all the entries he had to be covered in makeup. Even you would surely draw the line at showing a pink horse in anything but a fancy dress class?

Is it full moon time again? Did the cereal truck overturn and fruitloops got spilt?

How in the world did he turn pink?! lol Honestly, I wouldn't use make up. I'd do my best to clean them up and whatever isn't "perfect" the judges will just have to suck up and deal with lol I doubt I'll ever use make up on a horse or anything of that sort... I feel no need to take it that far, if the judges don't like how my horses start is shaped or his totally real tail then that's there problem. I'm not going to alter my horse for better scores.

Just how I feel I like to be as natural as possible

I've been watching this thread. My boy is a stb so has oh-so-gorgeous freeze brands all the way up his neck. Good look for the show ring haha.

He sweated under his rug, which has a black lining, but obviously there is red in the black dye. It stained him. It was off to the wash racks for him at 7 am on a cool wet morning.

He still has a faint pink tinge if you know where it is.
