Maybe wishful thinking but I would swear she's gotten wider! Is that even possible? First picture from February 4th I think, second one today, February 10th. Standing in roughly the same stance, in the same area by the hay feeder, only a little ways around the other side. (Sorry about the major variations in colors and brightness...sometimes the camera makes them too dark, sometimes too light, and I have to alter the amounts of color/light to make them visible.)

I suppose I shouldn't be wishing for the baby to hurry up...it's -20 today, and that's mild compared to what we've been experiencing. But nicer days are coming...supposed to get -1 tomorrow!

Last one taken February 17.

Beautiful mare, congrats on getting her.

If she was exposed in June then you have a couple more months still... don't get too anxious too early or you won't be awake enough when the foal does come.

she is wider but I do not think that she is near ready to go. she needs more softening on the butt.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but if the baby comes out dun as well you could register it IBHA at least I've had a soft spot for this mare since you got her and can't wait to see the foal!

Oh Boy one more mare that's going to be a surprise foaling! I pray that she waits for warmer weather, and has a safe delivery and healthy foal! Cathy

I hope she waits for spring too! Today is -3 but still not baby weather, she's better hold off until May sometime, ha ha. She seems very big though and I am sure her belly has gotten harder than the last time I checked. I will ask her trainer if there's any way she might have been exposed to the stud earlier than June. You never know.

OK, I don't think there's any change since last week but the latest photo shows her with less winter fuzz. She is shedding like crazy so spring MUST be here!

She's such a pretty mare... I can't wait to see her foal! Do you have any idea on what color the stud is that's she's bred to?
