I am pretty sure silver (Z) is dominant. A heterozygous horse like Jessie would pass it on 50% of the time, but it is only visible on black-based horses. So if this filly was chestnut, she could have been hiding silver

So sorry to hear about his loss. He was stunning. Though I am curious as to why she was surprised when she said the mare was about to foal when she'd been running with a stud?

What a sad story, Jesse was beautiful! At least she has something of his to remember him by. The foal is adorable. I love the face marking! I was going to remark on the other colt in your thread about seeing the three foals, the one you trailered had a cute marking too.
