due soon!!

I found this site just recently and have looked through massive posts and all of your horse stories and foalings. I am excited for everyone that is having a baby soon! This is my first mare though not my first horse. She is tenn walker/morgan cross and the sire to her babe is tenn walker.
She is 5 years old due to be 6 in may and a maiden mare. I have been seeing some signs recently and thinking she may be getting ready to foal. I have tons of pictures but not sure if they will attach here.
Anyone wanting to see pictures or take a guess from a more experienced eye at foaling I would love to hear any input you may have.

She was bred on may 13-16. Her vulva is definitly more pronounced than it was even a week ago. I check her every day and am keeping an eye on her for more signs. Her teats have filled in but not to the waxing stage yet.
Today while checking her, she was taking in deep breaths and letting out, the baby is very active and kicking, she urinated and stood there for a long while without going again.
Im not sure if thats normal or signs of foaling happening soon. Any advice you have would help.

Thanks in advance for any input and happy foaling!!

She sounds like she is progressing fine. Using a foaling caluclator, she should be due around April 24.(based on May 16th) She can go 10 days either way. So anytime from April 14 - May 4. However, depending on the mare, she can go anyware from 320 - 365days.
DO her teats have milk in them? IF the milk is a yellowish color, she should be very close.
However, as I am experiencing again. A Maiden mare does not have to follow any rules or any steps WE THINK they should do. My mare is 5 days over due. She has been swishing the tail, holding it to the side. Doing all of the same things of your mare for several days -NO BABY!!!
Good luck with your upcoming foal. Hope this helps.

Hi, Your mare is beautiful. I also have a TWH and she is due anyday now.
Do you check her milk daily, Thats the best indicator of how close she is. When it turns to whole milk white she is close.
Also, you will see dramatic abdominal drop ,she will be slab sided looking at her from behind. Good luck, cant wait to see pictures of the baby.

I made the pictures a little smaller so they would fit easier and added a few more. Some from the 16th and then from today. I havent even tried to get milk at all from her. I will see if there is any signs of milk without milking her. Yes she is beautiful and am looking forward to a healthy foal. The sire is chestnut with flaxen mane and tail and he was gorgeous. I cant wait now that its getting so close!!! Thank you everyone and good luck with your own foals!!
