Dressage show results

I had a dressage show this weekend. It is called the Chapter Challenge. All the Chapters in the PVDA (www.pvda.org) particpate in this yearly event. SO I was part of the intro team. I have been working REAL hard on getting Red to move forward. My horse is a tad on the lazy side so it does take work for him to go forward. So we had 3 days of rain and it was raining yesterday also. My horse and I are weather wimps. We do not ride in the rain-at all. We take the day off and be lazy. He eats hay in his stall and I watch movies under a blanket. SO we had to show yesterday because it was a important event.

We had our worse tests ever. Both of us were miserable. I had a panic attack before my second test because we were in the warm up and kept slipping. The higher level horses were intimidating me and my trainer's hubby kept yelling out directions to me. I finally went over to the side of the ring and burst into tears to my trainer. She took me otu of the ring and I got myself together to get into the ring for my test.

I got a 52% for my Intro B test. Red did it but neither of us were happy. Our halts were crooked, and our free walk was NOT free. I stopped to early before where I was supposed to. I even got the wrong diagonal

. My mother almost fell over when I told her that because I can feel it and know the difference.

So after all that..our team still got 3rd place because my score did get dropped...

phew: and Red and I had some bonding time at home. He rolled in the mud and gave him kisses.

He is a great horse..he really does care and take care of me. I was useless yesterday riding wise.

OH two good things happened...one my braids looked the best out of the groups. I am going to learn how to do button braids sewing wise and may have a part time job just braiding dressage horses.

I wore my whites and didn't dump junk on them within 2 seconds.

What to say....sounds like quite a show....but you know...we all have them...and really...you did Keep the whites white...so that was a bonus.

Keep your chin up...the next one will be better...and you can post pictures of that one.

Ah well, we can't win them all...it sounds like it wasn't bad at least. There's always next time to kick butt
