Dressage judging at pony club!!

Well this Saturday(my 18th birthday) My Pony Club is having a dressage and hacking mini.
I am not riding because my groups Dressage test is only a low one, and I don't think it warrants me pulling Vik out of the paddock for one day.
So instead I have been asked to judge the dressage!!
AAAHHH
I have ridden dressage and pencilled but this will be my first ever time judging.
Its only a small day, with low tests so hopefully I do myself justice!
I think I will be a hard marker which will make the kids hate me!!!

Ahhh im excited!!

OOh, this sounds interesting.

I am sure you are going to do the job well. Harsh is good as long as the same harshness is carried through to all riders.

Yeah My sister will be riding so I have already told her I will be extra harsh on her so I don't play favourites.
She said thats ok.
Trust me, I will not be nice to any of the kids!!! lol

I wouldn't be harsh on them! Poor wee kids. Be fair by all means but tactfulness is still nice You want to encourage them, not beat them down. Depending on their age anyway most don't really understand it properly so the educational value of being harsh will be lost on them.

The winners will still win whether you set your standard mark at 5 or 7

Just don't try to judge a novice test to elementary standards and you'll be golden.
