![]() | can anyone tell me about a dr. bristol? iw as just wondering more about them, i know what they look like, but what do they do? is it a really tough bit? thanks |

| Senior Member+ | ![]() looks very similar to a French-Link, but the difference is that a French-link's "plate" lies flat on the tongue, while a dr. bristol's plate lies at a slight angle. The bit works on the principle that when you apply pressure to the rein, the nutracker action causes the offset plate to press into the tongue.
