Downhouse Farm, Hunter Trial 30.9.07

Hey guys,

Well, I haven't been on here in a while but.... I'm back and, better than that, I'm just back from a show with Mollie, our first time out since my 2 operations this summer so she hasn't had the best summer fitness in all honesty.

I've spent the past few weeks getting her back out and about and, in the process have quald her 90 and 100cms bsja amatur series and went to a xc schooling day and ended up in the open group.

TODAY, I hacked to a local XC run by a local (but rival) pony club and entered the intermediate, having walked the course yesterday, it was full up, didn't ask too may questions, but enough. Even contemplated the open aswell but I was going to have to hack so entered the intermediate, the first on mollie (intermediate XC that is).

Lots of people were having issues at various points in the course so I was a little nervy (I'm not the most confident XC rider ever!), I got even worse when the rider before me came off at the penultimate fence and you could hear her scream from the collecting ring!

However, we set off in fine sty;e if i may say so myself and she was jumping everything just so. answered everything i asked of her, even an extreemly dodgy stride into the log which also happened to be the photo fence (nice one me!!!).

she even did the skinies without dodging from one side to the other on the approach and went straight through the water without stopping and leaping in!!!

I'm so proud of her. was a fantastic day. and it was nice to have the hack back afterwards to chill.

so yeh, thats a ramble of my update lol!

will get the pics up as soon as they online
