Actually, there are way more than you would think. I would have to dig, and don't want to right now , but I have several lines from AQHA saved that show 100% OLD foundation bloodlines using the NFQHA rules. Check out their small list of stud just on that site I quoted. They are on there. Many horses trace back to unknowns only, not TB's.

Leo, Wimpy, King, and Hancock. The closest TB is 7 gen back which is Three Bars.

I bet she's a tank.

I need to look at it. TB in the 7th gen. is a 1.5625% discount, so not bad. And "Hancocks" tend to make it in all registries

so with National if they trace to unknown then they are not "docked" but if they trace to TB they are??

Oopps.....

DB posted while I was looking at the mare pedigree. If I am understanding what she said then I guess she wouldn't qualify.

LOL.......... I am so cornufused!

LOL, those formulas tend to do that to you

No, with a TB in the 7th, it's only a 1.5625% deduction, which leaves you 98.+ to work with. So, she probably qualifies, depending on the rest of the pedigree.

I Think I will just stick to firguring the way you taught me to start with instead of trying to remember how all the different ones do it

Thanks Lexy.

I wish she was a Tank. I don't think she's gotten very good care, she's four and she's very very under muscled and just...needs a lot of work.

About the only thing I think I understand is that........ in figuring if a horse is foundation, it's not the QH percentage that determines if they qualify but the TB percentage.

Sort like this: Each horses is assigned 100%. The TB percentage is determined and deducted from that 100%. If that percentage goes below a certain number, then they do not qualify.

If you come to an "unknown" then you can't determine if that horse is a certain percentage or not.

I'm I close??

I do have her pedigree record from AQHA, and I checked it with Allbreed and it is the same as on her records from AQHA [I have the papers, not digital so I cannot copy and paste it]

Ima Ruby Bandit Quarter Horse

Everything is correct on it as is seen on my AQHA record I have printed out.

I will eventually get her registered foundation or put into it if possible when I've had her for a few months.
