Don't want to clip......

My horse is shedding big time. Each time I come in from grooming him, I look like cousin IT.

When does a horse finally lose all that hair and get their beautiful summer coat? He was so georgous when I first seen him, then winter came and he got furry. Will he be beautiful again without clipping?

of course he will,it just takes awhile toget all the loose hair out. Soon enough you will think, hey! i have a horse, not a big furry teddy bear! lmao

Thanks....he tends to get really nasty with all that hair and mud sometimes. My husband says he gets emabarrased because our horses look homeless. He says he sees other horses that don't look like ours. I tell him, yeah they're clipped!

Hey,what I do to help mine lose that hair faster is I start out using a rubber round curry to loosen the winter hair, then I go over them with a metal curry. The metal curry has 2 rows of teeth that hold the hair better, then I pull the hair off. I have also used a block, but for the life of me can't remember what its called.lol It works pretty good.

It usually takes horses a week or two to fully sheed out, sometimes more depending on the horse. Sheeding blocks and sheeding blades are great! If it's warm enough a bath will help a lot also! It takes time but he will be beautiful. Promise! lol
