Definitely a spot... and will definitely be big enough to qualify... at least at some point (you may have to wait til he grows a bit more LOL). Now you do need to know if there is pink skin under there. From my understanding if there is ANY pink skin under it and it meets the size requirements, it qualifies.

The likely reason you missed it is that blonde baby fuzz was lighter and is starting to darken now.

Paxo is that figured by total square inches or? Reason I ask is I ahve a friend looking to register one whose spot is only an inch wide, but it's 4 inches long so the square inches is obviously 4... but... how does that work?

The longest distance from side to side is the measure, but if it is an inch, dont register yet, lots of folks say they grow the first 2 years quite a bit, if there is no reason to rush the registry yet wait a little. I havent had to deal with it yet personally, but lots of folks have on Paint horse lovers MB.

1. A piece of pink skin the size of an eraser head will qualify as "underlying pink skin"

2. It's 4 SQUARE INCHES for PINTO, 2 square inches for Paint. So it could be 2"x1" or 1/2"x4".

3. You do need to shave to show the underlying pink skin, and since you have that photo with the spot before being shaved you should retake that same photo with a ruler next to the white and THEN shave it. People get that bass ackwards all the time then come short and have to wait!

4. Worse case senario... you send it in NOW as colored rather than waiting. Let them ask for the photos proving otherwise... I sent a belly spot in on Peyton that size, they didn't even note it on his registration papers... but proudly put "qualifies off face white on right side"... for some stupid reason.

So pink skin this small would qualify, right?:

And even if it's visible they still make you shave?

Yes it would, and maybe not. If you wet it down enough to visibily see the edge of the pink skin, you may not have to.
