I thought maybe you were since I saw you had a thread in the breeding shed.

I think she would make a nice riding horse. Does she have any training? How much are they asking for her?

She was trained about a year and a half ago and their 15 year old daughter has been riding her consistently since. They're asking $2500 for her. I don't quite have that much so they said they'd be willing to go down if we wanted to get her.

Ya, I would say it wouldn't hurt them to come down some. She has nice pedigree but nothing that is hard to come by. I would make sure she is HYPP tested and is N/N. You can run into some big problems if she isn't N/N.

I don't think alot. I will see if I can find it for you. It is a very simple test.

Thanks for the info but I just looked at her ad again and it says "HYPP N/N-does not carry"! I'm glad! I was hoping I wouldn't have to have the test done. Thanks again everyone for your help!

She has very good bloodlines! It's good that she's N/N. I wouldn't run the risk of having a N/H horse. Do you have any pics of her?

Here's a little info about some of the studs in her pedigree...

The Impressive bloodlines alone are very nice (since she's N/N)
Impressive

Skippers King is a son of Skipper W who was a VERY influential sire in the Quarter Horse breed

Sonny Dee Bar

Two Eyed Jack

These were just the ones showing on the page... if you look back further you can see she traces to many of the founding horses of the Quarter Horse breed. I say she has a pretty nice foundation pedigree.
